My sister wears boots

My sister wears boots
and kicks ass
I wear boots
and kiss it - high

We have the same father
they say
a common mother  -
they never wore boots
who knew
my sister would wear boots
or I

My sister collects
rocks and rocketships,starships
I hear
I collect husbands
and bits of paper
between my teeth - writing fed

Her boots are
polished, black shiny boots
like the coffin a widow follows close behind
mine have never
seen shine or thought they
needed it -but I still walk straight, unlaced
fine....dusted gray

My sister never crawls
or takes to abuse, not from
human
or un-human kind
I take what I can get
from man or sorted life forms.

do not come too soon September

do not come too soon September
with long shadows covering the day, do not
send word of a November, far keep
it for another's season

my bones care not to fall, the subtle
differences in temperament, a degree
of want for June to stay in full
its moon, do not cause
this heart remember - soon,

so very soon

April had me lost in thoughts of love, of loving, of haste
looking on to the fullness of a May, unaware
a seasons passing, uncertain of who
would pull at my youth filled door, with no sentiments
of time as passage to a wind, and a

knowing that a wind I hold as autumn
wants my supple hand, no, no
give to me June, at latest an
August stilled

September can wait awhile longer, November's
chill - come not, come not too soon
at all

Eye of Sahara

a jeweled feature
pierces - eye of the Sahara
maker of myth

blood dried, bound
by sand, salten
by faith, found on
the wings of windswept scents spiced
absconding all worlds
un-knowable

parimonious silence

i am in love
with the silence of
writing

without sound
without movement
of eye, of lip

thought that
mimics
a sea, its shores molded
by flow and crest
by ebb and fall
heart beats; separate, same
in rhythmic cadence,
consistently phased, unremarked

i sail
this silence - not sullen or spent
softened
across the bow of wishbone
held, allayed by mast of a dream, gathering incandescent
dust of demi-gods parimonious
of lost treasure
understanding its salten water, the need
of its rhythm,

my need of
silence

Monkey Town Blues

Heading to a blues, a brand
new blue monkey town
I am head'n there,  head'n to Monkey Town
I am goin by way the 12 O'clock news, choosin
a phone call from out'a here, I will be goin
somewhere,

somewhere to play me around.  I'm goin to play me some blues
I'll be head'n over, head'n somewhere,
head'n down
these feet goin too...face a place,a place called Monkey Town
goin by way of news - on a road
that road where a body could never,  if
ever know me as blue...on a road, a Rhythm Road...
scoping up,
scoping down a tale
maybe two, play'n, sway'n the Monkey Street blues, walk'n
on past, walk'n on down
away from anyone know'n, remember'n
having me - my monkey around

Head'n on down
just my monkey, this monkey and me
We'll be head'n straight up, my monkey
and me head'n down
gonna play us some rhythms,  play us
some blues, in a place called Monkey Town, can't
trace us back, no tracks to the blues, we're goin get there,
by way of after-noon news, can't be late
for this home, our home of the blues, we're goin free
you'll see us there, that's it
that's where you'll find a blue monkey and me
you'll find me in Monkey Town

play'n the....Monkey Town Blues

Down Towner

there is a classic
vacancy
that does not hold
signage, singling itself
out - of commission
out of time, out of prospect
out of

loneliness - VACANCY

down towner, morph
completed to
down and outer, down
further...then soul should ever find itself

Heart and Bone - Rondel II

Heart and bone seem move together,
As with first breath pulled us from still.
Does it matter this dubbed free will,
Or bask I as all fair weather?

Mockingbird spares not a feather;
But laughs out words that so would kill.
Heart and bone seem move together,
As with first breath pulled us from still.

Held now by clocks worn out tether,
To swallow whole a bitter pill.
The bird cries out now - longer, shrill.
Closed these ears to sound of  nether,
Heart and bone seem move together.

What Riddled God?....Rondel Excerise

What riddled God has lead me here?
The crag I've climbed holds no treasure
What's come to pass is all my fear
My heart bleeds beyond all measure

This lesson I set out to hear?
Glided stone that fools seek pleasure
What riddled God has lead me here?
My heart bleeds beyond all measure

The jester holds my soul to wear
Lost now heading to dreads fissure
No gifts of gems, gone too azure
My bones still have all sin to bear
What riddled God has lead me here?

Follow me

The old knight was in he last moments
alone, his body fading into the earth around him
calling out for guidance he heard a mans voice

“Follow me”

Where are you going? the old knight asked

"To Heaven"

I know of no heaven, replied the knight

Then another echoed

"To Nirvana"

I know not of Nirvana

And again

"To Hades"

No,I know no Hades

The old knight in despair on his knees continued to pray
When came the voice of a woman

"Follow me"

Where are you going, he asked again

"To Shangri-La"

I know not of a Shangri-La

And another

"To Venus"

And yet another

"To Troy"

I have no knowledge of these places, cried out the old knight
fearing now his soul lost for eternity
a young man in shining armor appeared to him

"Follow me" said the young knight

Where are you going?  asked the old man melting
away into the depths of an earthly death

"To Avalon"  replied the young knight

Yes, I have long been waiting for you, lead me
home, I am ready, said the old knight
and leaving his bones and his rusted armor
stepped through the mists and into Avalon

Krahe - Triolet

What laughter lingers in this pain?
Weathering all their words of sin
I cry for hope and pray for rain
Weathering all their words of sin

Who hears my cry, is all in vain?
I krahe, and krahe on my last bein
What laughter lingers in this pain?
Weathering all their words of sin

I Love the way I wear this hat!

I Love the way I wear this hat!
What others think I have no care;
They call me vain! How do they dare?
My love for life they do not share;
Will gossip change their heart of that?
They call me vain! How do they dare?
I Love the way I wear this hat!
What others think I have no care!

a bell, in spring

there is a bell, in spring
a step, a song
a window open as warm rain drops
softly drift along

there is a kiss, in spring
lighter than a cloud
a sun danced wish of summer
spoken not to loud

there is touch, in spring
that brushes every heart
with love, a grace of spring's morning
as shoot and seed take start
 too
with bells, of spring
choir adds its refraining hymn
of plenty and of springtimes's promise as sleepy world
awakes again
