because, i believe in chaos....
hope u find your answers soon. life's so critical at times. wonderful work!
leaving you standing holdingglass half empty..wow, that one line says so much. I REALLY like this a lot!
lots of questions in life..still searching for answer ..you are right..life is an unsolved puzzle
"Do I care?" That says so much to me.
Wow, this says a lot more than it is saying :)Well done!
curious...you capitalized Myselfsays a lot if intentionaland everything in a poem is intentional isn't itcalled craftwonderful
Reminds me very much of a lisa Zaran poem, the name of which escapes me just now. Evokes a similiar response in me.
oh, holding the glass half empty...tight close...too many miss the close but you nailed it...
thank you all....I was wondering how many got the meaning behind the piece...the first line came to me about two weeks ago when we were driving....bkm
I notice you labeled your poem as Random and if so, the unexpected spawn of one's Muse often invokes the strongest writing; at least that is my experience. To tread the path of chance without reservation. Such eloquence in a single piece.
Am expecting you to get a glass half full at the end of your little trip hopefully the one left behind gets it and follows you or you find another... either way you're done...lovely bkm.
Sorry that is not it....I should have asked everyone to give there take on it...bkm
I hope they catch up! Thanks for stopping by.
"creating a palette of mood" Ooooh so romantic. I actually have a Queen Anne vanity it became mine when my mother passed so I could envision it throughout the poem!
Oh I love the touch of cynicism that accents the beauty of your words-- nicely done!
adventurous poem, the ending leaves readers lingering...well captured uncertainty of life.
Sometimes it's hard to leave someone behind, other times we need to run. I enjoyed your writing. :))
Certainly does bring us a surprise or two as we travel down the road. This is a great poem.
I like this poem very much... "my mind turns a corner..." and finding the looked-for road and following on the instant - love the sentiment expressed and the expression itself.
I really enjoyed the read...thanks for linking with Potluck!! Have a great week ahead my friend xx
Amazingly written, glad to have you in for Poetry Potluck =P
These lines are especially poignant to me:>>> unread lines on a blank page.....>>> my mind turns a corner.... My Monday Poetry Potluck: Fibonacci.
This made me think of creative ideas abandoned and new ones explored...I loved the flow...
Leaving the half-empty glass. Perfect.
This is a satisfying poem! Loaded with tension, and yet ... it concludes triumphantly for the narrator. So well done. Wow!
sometimes, the half empty glass just needs to be left! My Potluck Poem
glass scratched blue.economical and masterful use of words throughout. amazing poem.
Sometimes there's not much else you can do...I like!
