unseen character
pinned against a wall - a photo-op
missed by those
unpleading
a girl in blue laughs
through a window, tethered balloons
go unburst
there is room for reflection
when left unnoticed
clocks suspended - all
hands tied
reversal would mark a nature
unapparent
to those who laugh
and balloons unobserved

Poets United - Invisible
Very deep, it needs much reading.

I love the girl with the balloons. I can see her.
ReplyDeleteOops, I always smile when I see balloons,

The unseen can take many forms.
ReplyDeleteThe unseen holds so much meaning, much of which we don't understand.
ReplyDeleteI love the reversal--what's pinned, what's not, what's observed and not. I used to be the wallflower, enjoying the theatre of it all and the freedom of invisability.
ReplyDeletetethered balloons go unburst...great image of that girl laughing.
ReplyDelete"a girl in blue laughs
ReplyDeletethrough a window, tethered balloons
go unburst" my favorite portion....
Brilliant!❤️
ReplyDeleteAgain and again the poem suggests that the invisible is right before our eyes, negated an "un." The poem also sustains something there, unbelievable but true.
ReplyDeleteUnseen is the image this calls forth
ReplyDeleteThe unseen character is so much deeper as there is room for reflection. Brilliant poem
ReplyDeleteSo many don't have the time or inclination to go looking for the balloons. They are there and waiting for anyone to catch and play with and even burst!
