there is infinite possibility
of thought or word
a chaos producing a quarry of gems
apatite to zircon
peridot to tanzanite
the
universe slides
in-out of a halogram
of visions
who is the mother of this?
will i find her
in
moonstone?
will she name - call me
fire-opal?

A powerful image, indeed.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes! A gem!
ReplyDeletefire opal,
ReplyDeletenice...there are infinite possibilities in each thing, each moment to capture in word and art...nice rock names too..smiles.
Delicate and bright little images in this one, barbara. I love the names of gems, they are poetry in themselves, and you have done nothing but enhance their beauty here in using them as your alphabet. (Tourmaline is the name I would like to be called, if that mother happened by.)
ReplyDeleteThe romance of the stones...lovely...
ReplyDeleteHow lovely this is.
ReplyDelete:) thank you.
What a lovely heartfelt piece, seeing, touching the power of the stones.
ReplyDeleteawesome poem! The photo looks stunning on your black background. It has been a long time since I linked up with Magpie tales but this photo is calling to me.
ReplyDeleteAn intense image sketched!
ReplyDeleteLoved the expression.. I liked you naming the rocks.. Only then the name Fire-Opal made sense!
Shining Hugs xox

ReplyDeleteoooh... what brilliant imagery, Barbara!! Fire-opal... LOVED the idea!!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent... "...who is the mother of this?" is almost redundant if we see ourselves in the creation of change and chaos. Thought provoking!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this! Fire opal, tanzanite, "who is the mother of this?" Brilliant, in every sense of the word. Thank you.
