black on black

black on black
is always
a good color arrangement
never considered an afterthought
or out of style

you look good in black
be it leather or lace
be it accentuated with buckle
or belt, metal best silver - lining

odd times i can
go for the color thing - the lack of it
seems to be the norm of what excites me
especially when worn
or shed
by a heart of same...

two of a kind, you
and me
black on black...

  8. There is something about the color black--if it is a color... I once read that people who wear it are trying to efface themselves, and I thought it was a totally stupid analysis. Black is so much more than that...loved your magpie, bkm.

  11. Barbara,

The tone of this holds well -- you have that talent, I think, always. The 'blackness' of this goes beyond 'color', but into personal mood or outlook. And the sharing (if that's not an irony) between those of a kind.

    Good one!

  13. Black is always my color of choice.
Love the third stanza - it could be a poem in and of itself. Great work.
