Vanity Fair

she was vain and knew it
and did not give a care
let the pious call me vain - let the young men stare
let the old men - pray for youth
the homely wish to be -
as beautiful and gracious
as one the likes of me --

give me any poison, praying for
my fall, exorcism or apple - i've been faced
with one and all --- i will take what
you will give me - but in the end you'll see
when the beauty has to face the beast
- the beauty wins --and that beauty would be  ... me..

  4. "give me any poison, praying for
my fall, exorcism (presuming to edit) or apple" Do we have Snow White here? I don't remember the vanity. But after the triumph, why not a bit of gloating!?

That type of beaty does not vanish with time... instead, it gets better.
