Magpie Tales #25
write about a keyhole she said, and an antique one at that
rusted and worn, used up like a Model T- used up like horse drawn plow
the horse long dead, buried beneath her willow tree
a magpie cried, write about the secret it still contains within its confines,
locked in there - in the center of its universe
invisible to the human eye, unnoticed by those without curiosity
yes, I said, I know it
a sorcerer would sense it, an alchemist would glance twice
yes, both have asked me for the key
I assured them I do not deal in riddles..
laughing they both
assured me that I did
the key they asked, the secret I replied
is rusted and worn
the key, the key is
much to brittle
now
the only way for you to
open it is by
solving
its
riddle
the willow whispered.....well done...
