angels pass through
the assembly line, winged
and non-winged
quality assurance does not take place
here (in heaven)
there is a separate place
for falling, for remapping those with soul
someone wrote (a legend)
of infinity, and infinity, an infinity- this legend
has a map said, a world
of grounded wing-less angels
of gods and gardens where love is
made and apples eaten
somewhere
between quality assurance and
purification

ReplyDeleteEver since reading anne tuxedo angels and devils, I imagine a new existence for angels other than what my old preacher said many years ago. Your piece reminded me if those ponderings regarding jealous angels. Fallen angels, I imagine are common. Thanks, I enjoyed it very much.

ReplyDeleteI struggle with perfectionism and somehow that line about no quality assurance in heaven felt very freeing to me. This is just wonderful, Barbara.
ReplyDeletethis is very cool. The entire second stanza is just so good. Thanks
