poppies

graft with me
and gather poppies/ graft
with me and
follow the moon

no grace can hold
us captive/ no faith can mark
us red/ graft with

me your heart to
mine/ as
we are lovers of wind/ of
rain/of similar skies
woolen to mute/ lovers
of days less
then/ so shall we

gather

now poppies
prior to our calm/ prior to our sun
and the naming
of our grave

  6. Such carefully interwoven words. I haven't been around for some time, Barbara and am so glad I caught this today...
