I agree with brian here. Every word seemed so integeral to the weight of the poem. I liked the pace of the poem too. Its a poem with a small footprint but a long stride.
An intriguing 'take' on the prompt ... deportation is indeed a sad proposition.
I love it - "the porthole of deportation" and "a shoebox of tormented souls". Wow, Barbara!
