spiritually green
i raise my hands
to an aqua-blue
heaven
spiritually leveled
palm of hand prays
for a heighten breath
till capillaries of a praying heart,
brilliant bright, boldly - burst forth grace

Hmm....the revivial tent amid the poppies?
ReplyDeleterevival, I meant.
ReplyDelete"till capillaries of a praying heart," that particular line takes the colorful beauty of the first stanzas and allows it to be felt through the very coursing of blood amid "heightened breath." Great concept too, as FB just questioned.
ReplyDeletewonderful testament to both maker and His works, dear lady. what better place to find redemption than in our maker's place. excellent piece

ReplyDeleteBeautiful praise.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful prayer!
ReplyDeleteBlooming poppies as "capillaries of a praying heart / brilliant bright, boldly - burst forth grace" -- framed in the serene horizontals of field and sky, opened palm and praying mind: and so a poem makes a heaven of earth. So lovely ... Brendan
