silhouette rain

its on a silhouette i write
its on the face of sealed window

i wait; in want-to wet your dreams
to quench your will, so kindly

its on the the sill of secrets kept
near you locked so tightly,

i but wind beating right, long, unleashing
sleeps fears, found fighting

a slivered spacing as the need
i seek, beneath a moon so blinding

i sing repeat, repeatedly
in light of window loves own lighting

Sleep My Love, as sliver sought
not long in love it i soon am finding

where we will meet wet and warm
in dreams of silhouette rain, in dreams
of rain delighting

  1. Lots of ennui and longing here, half-crazy as all who noir in moonlight get, especially that light of love is mixed with rain, or tears, or sea-water pressed against the window, all that history of love we so wish we could smooth from our love's brow. Lovely, lonely, endearing and enduring. - Brendan

  3. So beautiful! So full of love, it's poppin', in a sweet and gentle way.
All the fluids of love, memory, nighttime, dreams,.... rain on the window sill of secrets. It is so much the "deep song." And here you swim, gracefully.

  8. Tender, soft and inexpressibly moving to me, barbara, your quiet writing on a silhouette, of rain and tears and a sealed window, always the plane of the other through which we cannot pass, no matter how strong the wish or need or desire, through which we watch and love. Beautiful.

  15. A beautiful love song. What is more romantic than lying in bed with a lover, while hearing the rain drops fall?
