Egg Drop Soup

you wanted Chinese (Egg Drop Soup)
in China Town, in San Fran
you wanted a trolley car, a drive
down Lombard Street, fresh fish,
Pier 39, a night to remember
with a Gaint Home Run

i said, now about
sourdough, farm fresh
over easy, followed by Ghiraidelli chocolate licked
from my lips, just before
the big one hits, tipping
the richter scale
smashing china, blue to white

  11. Loved this, for many reasons, one of them the fact that I live an hour away from the City, and visit it often. Wonderful work, as usual.

  18. Ooooohh...I love it...

It's like...I don't get it that much...(I guess cuz I'm youngish) but I like it when I don't really understand a poem....because then I know it means a lot more than meets the eye! To know there are things out of my reach is a great gift.
