The Message

an unmarked page lies on the floor
on the table a dryed out pen
thoughts weep from the stone wall
staining the mosiac

a crack in the door, reveals only
eyes seeking truth
as bells ringout to the blessed
there is no ear - to hear..

Hermes has gone missing....

  6. You captured so much in so few words, bkm. The Hermes line just adds the perfect touch to the scene you so artfully crafted.

  8. Oh the pain of writer's block..thoughts weeping, blank pages, dried up pens..know that and been there..the urge to walk away and wonder if any of it is original or fresh. Good poem. Very evocative. Thanks.

  13. A perfect caption for the picture. One senses the past presence (passed present?) of people there.

  15. Thoughts weeping from the wall and no Hermes to record them. Lovely imagery. That Hermes! He's probably showing someone around the Underworld.

  16. Wonder who lived there once... Will they return? Ever?
A very nicely done ambiguity here...
