Indigo Nights

there is a love so deep, so rare
impenetrable by moon or stars-light
known only to purest of lovers
in the place christened Indigo Nights

where none but subtlest breathing
or heartbeat so temperate and slight
can be sensed by those dead or those living
in the mysteries of Indigo Nights

forever unseen by wanderer
in tomorrows or reflector of wrong versus right
supreme in the silence of loves moment
caressing the essence of an Indigo Night

  3. Oh. Oh. Did I ever connect to this, not only because it's so beautiful, but because I just used "indigo nights" in a piece of my own today. Lovely synchronicity.

A really lovely piece of very strong writing.
A very romantic feel, but with a mysterious overtone.

  6. I seem to run out of adjectives when I read your work. Seriously. You continue to amaze. This poem reminds me of a cherished yet lost relationship. I continue to be melancholy about it, and this piece speaks my heart. Thank you.

  8. I like that indigo night, but I have found it is a question to ponder, exactly what color is that color of night. And of course, sometimes you just have to pick one....also the color of distant mountains? That you.
