between synapses

my excerised caution
has been limited
requiring adjustment
and turtorial tuning

someone offered stepping stones
i preferred throwing
rocks
we all break a window now and then
breath is life

the latest always
comes to soon - like an
expansion bridge between synapses
and current pencil shavings

we write
for a reason - the same reason
we sip gutter wine
and recover on black coffee

dark spaces
harbor a light we can not see
through paned and semi-
stained glass

  5. Yes, we do indeed all write for a reason....... I especially like the second last stanza - drinking gutter wine and recovering on black coffee. Alas, I am sure oftentimes the comparison with writing is apt.

  6. I think life necessitates that we break a window every now and again..perhaps it lets the air in and helps us take a fresh breath..so much vivid imagery here - the gutter wine particularly
