unforgiven

i have delayed sense of forgiveness
pardoned self several times over

but life is found beige there
bland and lacking

diamond head and mackerel
falling from an amber
sky - a bronzen dust devil
occupies my mind
regurgitating
an emerald seascape

i am in love with  my delinquency
love a good sparring
outfitting partner
in adrenalin and outcome

once calmed, i
can not sleep - do i choose
forgiveness? can i forgive
ecstasy its lifeform?

wash me to an open
sea, throw me into the fire
i can not rest
in (non-living) - let me die
unforgiven

Life can be open to a lot of trials and tribulations so it has been said. It's good to be exposed to such experiences. That's how I read this! Nicely bkm!

  3. Forgiveness is such a huge thing...and they say it's more about the person doing the forgiving then the one who transgressed being forgiven...I do know that I have a long memory, though. And sometimes the forgiving is easy and the forgetting is impossible. You got me thinking with this beautiful poem, bkm.

  7. ha i like the ackowledgement to being in love with delinquency...forgiveness is tricky...at best be often give it tacit thought in giving it only to find we still harbor feelings of resentment...
