my karma

there appears to be verb-age here, under
the layers of black.  we are more than lovers, we are more
than most connected
i am in common with you, you are not
my equal but my karma
full circled.   damn you and your propensity to trust
you penchant fool (half dressed is so overdone).  i have
laid my case, my breasts and my faith
to berth with you.  you have fed me, you have riped everything
from heart to hair, and i have sweat to share all
my lies with you.  you do not, can not have a name, i
swear i know you, i swear i has rehearsed
this before.

your hand on the ouija board has locked
my fate.  your finger on my lips
has sealed my last judgement, there is no retreat, no
reversal of ascent - only surrender, only
summation of trespass

to leave soul question -
when the nightshade acceptable?  when
the grape strongest?  i have only to taste
of empty without sin, with-
out what we have layered denying
light

  1. first i like the thought of someone as your karma...coming due...i have sweat to share all my lies with you is a great line as well...the quija board adds a bit of the mystical magic...the contrast as well int eh last between the emptiness without sin and what you have layered...cool verse...

  2. I think the idea is valid, a person being your karma... it certainly lends an explanation to those you immediately feel at home with or that you've known forever... I liked the lines

    Nicely written.
