sometimes life
is shades of orange and pearest yellows
windows shut, doors locked
windows locked yellow, a splinter filled framework
little blues (can not find the blues)
there - masked behind the oranges
behind the decayed crumbling - a dried out
layer cake, (blues) beneath a surreal grasshopper -dead
mistaken as a living thing, mistaken
risen from the melting
glass of my dichoric delusions

ReplyDeleteNicely done, relating dichroism to life.
ReplyDeleteThe image of the dried out layer cake grabbed me, too. Very cool write.
ReplyDeleteLove the image you painted of that incredible photo. Both make we want to drag out a canvas and paints. Wonderful color and texture.
ReplyDeletetrue...
ReplyDeletelovely take.
Now that's what I call seeing things differently! Nice piece.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this one, Barbara. Particularly the grasshopper image.
ReplyDeleteThe sharp dissonance of this piece adds an additional layer to the angst of the words. Great construct!
ReplyDeleteYour photos and thoughts may be dichoric but are certainly not delusions!!!
ReplyDelete(Fantasies? Maybe?--grin!)
