revolution

so let's talk
revolution

a caged rifle sings, drum roll
drum roll please

there is a market
for a bomber, a listing for a son
a gunner, missile launcher - (someone, phone in lunch)
"the timing could not be better"
quotes an imposter's tongue, "a war
should be developed; a director needed
call one in, and peace
(on earth?) who sees it" - three sheets
blowing in the wind , gone

Atlanta
its been melted, Lenin's
bloodline Red's, the middle
eastern conflict lost
again in reels archived underground - "who can
free this bird, who's got
the guts to spread?  i need a revolution
i need fire worked, bullets fed"

 Lennon said it best
imagine
you'd better free your mind instead

"bullshit!! - some crazy
shot him - dead"

  5. Quite a jumble of strong images, with a powerful close. I think Lennon only sings louder for having been offed; not many are able to make that sacrifice. I'll never forget what a local DJ always said about that assassination : "Six bullets, and Yoko didn't take one."

  6. And to quote John:
    "Let me tell you now
    Ev'rybody's talking about
    Revolution, Evolution, Mastication, Flagelolation, Regulations.
    Integrations, Meditations, United Nations, Congratulations
All we are saying is give peace a chance
All we are saying is give peace a chance"

Very topical today ..bkm, and well said as always. Best to you. Gay

  8. Beautifully done, bkm. All those historical references and the poignant reminder that the bomber/gunner/missile launcher is someone's son...powerful stuff. Thank you.
