she was a woman of principles
(doctors, lawyers too)
carried a church key in her purse
and roomed with a Gideon Bible
when the pastor asked her
to give her testimony to the
congregation, she said she would be
honored..
she moved slowly up to the
front of the church,
with movements that could keep
a church choir rock'n for hours
before she turned around, she pulled
out a small flask from her bosom, took a hit
cleared her throat, and turned to face all God's
children...
dear friends...she started..I am a woman
who has been around and I can only
tell you what I have learned from living
and sitting in different situations... and believe me,
"I have been in more laps than a napkin"
and as far as the
Golden Rule...well I believe you should always
" Love thy neighbor -
and if he happens to be tall, debonair
and devastating, it will be that much easier."
and the whole congregation went
"AMEN!!!"
