witness removed

succumbing to solitude
is what is needed
a bare floor - a set of salted beads

a closed vision exposes, filtered white
against inner
emptiness

one bead at a time
one layer at a time, ripped, torn
uneven
giving way as heavy
lifts light

the worn wood marks place
for two unfamiliar bones

i could kiss the offering
laid before me

all witness removed

  11. What, I wonder, is keeping the speaker from kissing the offering?

  12. I agree with Rosemary that this is a bit disturbing...and I want to know the backstory!

  13. Such powerful imagery- i think there is a lot to be said for a bare floor and quietly working with beads.. it may seem cold to the outside world but in the right hands can be like a blank piece of paper..or a deep breath
